This is a hands-on role where you'll oversee daily operations, with a focus on compliance and setting high standards of quality and safety.Reporting to the Culinary Director, you will play a critical role in managing kitchen operations, establishing effective processes, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.Oversee kitchen operations across our food and beverage establishments within the hotel, with a focus on our banquet and event services.Monitor kitchen stock, manage inventory, and ensure quality control in all areas of food preparation.Lead, mentor and develop a young and growing team, setting clear expectations and providing continuous support to achieve operational excellence.Implement and enforce compliance with all OH&S and food safety regulations.Establish and refine kitchen procedures to promote efficiency, consistency, and a safe working environment.Our successful candidate will have:Minimum three years' experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary position, ideally within a hotel setting. However, experience in a larger restaurant, catering operation, or modern pub, would also be highly valued.Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food safety and compliance with OH&S regulations.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members across departments and maintain a positive, supportive work culture.The capability to manage and uphold high standards in a fast-paced environment with a solution-oriented approach.Flexible availability to support a dynamic schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required.If this sounds like you, we can't wait to hear from you!
