About the role The Research Office aims to develop and maintain a vibrant research culture which stimulates high quality translational research and makes a positive difference to our communities, particularly those most in need.
The HDR Coordinator supports the coordination, and delivery of day-to-day administrative support for the Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Team.
The position reports to the HDR Lead.
Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support to HDR students, Academic staff and Academic supervisors.
Work with key stakeholder groups, support the HDR student lifecycle including, but not limited to progression, examination and completion to a high standard and in accordance with University policies and procedures.
Monitor and provide support of HDR student thesis examination, scholarships and supervisor registration.
Provide support to HDR students and supervisors with accurate and timely advice and assistance, ensuring that the resolution of matters are escalated appropriately in accordance with procedures.
Research, analyse and provide recommendations on relevant issues of importance and research training.
Coordinate and support projects within the Research Office to achieve operational and strategic plans in line with the University's Research strategic plan.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of services to HDR students and their supervisors through active participation in process review initiatives, sharing relevant and applicable knowledge.
Qualifications, skills & experience Degree qualification in a relevant discipline with several years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Administration work environment experience, preferably within a tertiary institution, research institute or similar organisation.
Demonstrated relevant experience in providing high-quality administrative support on issues of HDR related matters providing advice and recommendations.
Ability to collaborate with teams and manage project plans to monitor results and provide updates on progress on the evaluation of results.
Client service focus with an ability to build relationships to achieve quality outcomes for all stakeholders without compromising the University's policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to investigate, identify and analyse key issues and propose practical solutions.
