HD Mechanic
Permanent Full Time Position
Asphaltech is a leading civil construction company specialising in the production and placement of asphalt throughout Australia. With over 25 years industry experience, we are known for producing high quality asphalt and some of the most innovative products in the Australian market.
Asphaltech have recently expanded and opened a new asphalt plant in Picton, WA. We are looking for suitable candidates who live in the area to join the team. We are seeking motivated, reliable, and experienced HD Mechanic. This is a full-time permanent position, and you will be required to work on projects in Bunbury and the Southwest.
Main Duties/Responsibilities

Carry out repairs and maintenance to mobile fleet.
Assist with repairs and maintenance of Asphalt Production plant.
Ensure that equipment and machinery is utilized and maintained in a safe manner.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies are strictly adhered to.
Ensure that all operational aspects in the management systems are carried out.
Ensure that fleet machines, vehicles, equipment, and tools are utilized and maintained in a safe condition.

Skills and Experience
Qualifications:

Cert III Engineering Trade Certificate - Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic.
Valid WA Drivers Licence - C Class.
Construction Industry White Card.
High Risk Forklift Ticket.

Experience:

Minimum four years' qualified experience in a similar position.

Skills:

Technical ability to carry out the job effectively.
Good fault finding and problem-solving ability.
Willingness to learn and improve.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Aware of Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
Good verbal and written communication.
Organized and able to meet deadlines.
Ability to cope with difficult working conditions.
Willingness to work extra hours.
Excellent communication skills.

At Asphaltech we want you to succeed in your position, training and development will be provided throughout your employment.
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to have a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
The pay is an hourly rate plus penalties. The range is $72,000 to $90,000 which includes overtime.
