About the Role Our Perth Repair Centre based in Welshpool, Perth; provides critical re-build and component services to our many WA Pilbara Mine sites.
The centre composes a large workshop/manufacturing floor – boasting highly qualified trades/technicians who are providing critical mechanical and electrical works to our trucks, grades loaders and other critical earth moving machinery.

Application, attitude, and a hands-on approach will get you everywhere in this role. Candidates who demonstrate transferrable mechanical trade-skills in a similar environment or industry (workshop) will transfer well.
We currently have vacancies for highly safety, diagnostic and technically focused Mechanics to join the Machine Rebuilds team. We are offering an appealing 7 on 7 on Thursday-Wednesday 6am-6pm - DAY ONLY ROSTER, where you will have the opportunity to drive to work and return home every night!
We currently have a vast number of machines within the rebuild team such as 785C, 793D, 793F Trucks, D10,D10T, 16M,18 series graders, 854, 992, 994 Loaders. The centre completes machine rebuilds to set deadlines and timeframes. Due to this, our workshop is fast operating. A high level of diagnostic experience is required for this role. The ability to operate CAT SIS is advantageous.
In addition to the re-builds team - We are also seeking transferrable and talented mechanics to also consider these positions.
Your role will involve, but is not limited to: Disassembling/assembling cat machinery such as dump trucks, graders, dozers and loaders Diagnosing, analysing and repairing components Creating a safe learning environment and a commitment to safety training and technical growth About you: A proven commitment to safety The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group Ability to adapt and evolve in a very fast paced mechanical environment Demonstrated prior experience working with heavy plant and equipment or transferrable examples Forklift and dogging tickets preferred – but not essential What is on offer?
