An established global organisation, renowned for its diverse manufacturing processes, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to develop and optimise a greenfield facility dedicated to the fabrication of large-scale steel and aluminium products. This role presents a unique opportunity for a dynamic professional to lead this facility from initial setup to full operational status based in South Brisbane.
Your new role Strategically plan the initial setup of the facility with Senior Management. Ensure all equipment is commissioned, functioning, and maintained. Source and allocate resources effectively, including managing staff and inventory. Manage and optimise production schedules to meet deadlines. Lead and develop the team, providing guidance and support. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols. Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure products meet required standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to boost productivity and efficiency. What you'll need to succeed Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven track record in managing manufacturing operations, specifically in steel and aluminium fabrications. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams effectively. Exceptional strategic planning skills with a strong ability to execute plans successfully. Proficiency in handling operational challenges and driving continuous improvement. Extensive experience in project managing a greenfield site to achieve full operational status.
