Your new role
A new opportunity has come up for a Network Support Specialist to join the Infrastructure team on a 6-month contract.
Reporting to the Infrastructure & Digitalisation Manager, you will have a range of responsibilities which include:
Providing support for wireless, switching, and routing in a factory and warehouse environment.
Monitor and maintain network performance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
Collaborate with global counterparts to implement global and local network projects.
Document network configurations, changes, and updates.
Respond to network-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
Participate in network upgrades and expansions.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
What you'll need to succeed
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a must.
Hands-on experience with network infrastructure including wireless, switching, and routing.
Familiarity with network hardware and Operating Systems - Cisco Nexus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
Experience in a factory or warehouse environment is advantageous.
Experience working with global service providers is a plus.
This role would be suitable for an entry-mid-level professional who wants to have a go at contracting or would like more hands-on experience.
The role is based in the office 3 times a week, 2 at home.
However, this can depend on demand.
Sometimes this can change to 4 days in the office.
