Join SA Health and be part of a supportive and inclusive environment committed to driving innovation and improving healthcare outcomes.About the role:Working as the Haematology Consultant, some of your duties may involve:Provide high quality clinical and laboratory haematology services to client groups consistent with the SA Health goals and objectives, including inpatient and outpatient haematology services and a full complement of laboratory services.Participate in all required duties of the unit including clinical and laboratory service, research, administration and leadership roles.Deliver teaching and training to various groups as required.Contribute to the research activities of the Unit.Attending to the Outreach Clinical Haematology services at Mt Gambier Hospital.About you:Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.FRCPA (with specialisation in haematology) or equivalent, and qualifications eligible for registration as Medical Specialist with the AHPRA.FRACP (or equivalent) and qualifications eligible for registration as Medical Specialist with the AHPRA.A post-doctoral or higher degree (Masters, MD or PhD) is desirable.Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.High level skills in clinical haematology, with a desirable expertise in leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and demonstrated experience in new treatments including T cell engager agents and CAR-T Therapy.A sound basic knowledge in haemostasis and thrombosis to be able to provide an on call service to the region.Experience of high level clinical and academic research including publications in peer reviewed journals.Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in Haematology.Application Closing Date: 11.55 pm Sunday 13 November 2024Note: The Indicative Total Remuneration is inclusive of Award salary, Superannuation, and other monetary benefits.
