2124 – Guest Support Officer Join Our Team Are you eager to make a difference?
We're looking for a Guest Support Officer to work closely with our Safer Gambling Team in consultation with community support groups, healthcare and social services providers to help develop and support The Ville's programs aimed at promoting a culture of safer gambling.
The Role The Guest Support Officer will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing Safer Gambling programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of the community.
Customer engagement is a key focus of this position, in particular getting to know our customers and interacting in a positive and proactive manner.
In addition to community engagement and building partnerships, you may be involved with developing educational materials to promote staff awareness, facilitating workshops, presenting to small groups, and coordinating community events.
This role is integral to supporting business operations in compliance with the Casino Control Act 1986, relevant regulations, standards and policies.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position, however there may be flexibility to consider Permanent Part Time work arrangements for the ideal candidate.
About You Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Safer Gambling, community engagement, public health, or a related area.
You must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to obtain a QLD Casino Employee License, both are mandatory pre-requisites.
Strong understanding of harm minimisation principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to approach challenging conversations in a positive and proactive manner.
Ability to work collaboratively and build partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work within a controlled regulatory framework.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies in Australia.
Demonstrate skills in developing and facilitating training and education sessions.
The position will initially commence as a day shift position working Monday to Friday, however the ideal candidate will have flexibility to work shifts that include weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
