Furama Hotel Darling Harbour is in a popular entertainment district, steps from bustling Darling Square, Market City and Cockle Bay Wharf. We are looking for a Guest Service Agent to join our Hotel Management Team on a Full -Time and Part -Time basis.

Job Scope • Prioritizing guest satisfaction at all times
• Greeting and registering all incoming guests
• Handling a cash float
• Checking out and account processing for departing guests
• Assisting with any enquires and requests guests may have
• Assisting guests in delivery and collection of luggage
• Offering local attractions/services information, service and assistance to guests as requested
Primary Responsibilities • Welcome and greet all guests on arrival and allocate rooms, offering appropriate information on hotel and its facilities.
• Check out and receive payment for all guests, whether by cash, credit card or credit
• Offer foreign exchange service to guests
• Allocate and check in groups on arrival
• Operate switchboard functions in telephones' absence.
• Notifying Assistant Manager of any VIP arrivals.
• Carry out any other tasks as required by F.O.M, A.M or F.O.S.
• Thoroughly checking paperwork before filing at the end of the shift,
• Post charges to guest accounts generated by front desk or other departments
• Take reservations as required
• Greet and assist guests with luggage delivery/storage.
• Deliver and collect guest luggage as requested, including groups.
• Provide local information to guests and offer assistance in tourist facilities booking
• Deliver messages and miscellaneous items to rooms
• Maintain high standard of cleaning in lobby, hotel entrance and public areas at all times
• Have thorough knowledge of all hotel facilities and hours of operation.
• Up-sell customers rooms of higher category and restaurant offerings to meet guest's needs
• Be familiar with all hotel emergency, fire and security procedures.
• Balance cash till at the end of shift and investigate/report any shortages/overages
• Carry out appropriate service recovery when guests aren't satisfied.
• Effectively communicate with other departments when service shortfalls have been reported by guests
• To ensure that employees present themselves according to the guidelines in the staff handbook, and that uniforms are neat, clean and well cared for
• To ensure your department and the hotel is always neat, clean and functionally operating
• To look after and maintain hotel equipment and other assets so as to protect the long-term investment value
