The Group aims to provide excellent strategic and operational services to business and the community by balancing Council's requirement for effective service delivery with the pursuit of innovative and customised solutions.The Group Support Officer is a key point of contact for the Group's internal and external clients and will provide confidential administrative assistance to the Group Executive and the broader team with an emphasis on professionalism and outstanding customer service. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Delivering quality and timely responses to communication and correspondence.Researching and analysing information in order to prepare correspondence, reports, agendas, and minutes on behalf of the Group Executive, and attend to follow-up actions.Carry out business administration functions such as processing financial transactions and reports.Liaising with other staff, management, and external service providers in an efficient and courteous manner.This position is based at Sunshine Coast City Hall, in the heart of Maroochydore CBD. This state-of-the-art and sustainable building is designed to achieve an innovative and collaborative workspace.About youAs a Group Support Officer, you will have a high level of business acumen with the ability to interpret various policies, procedures, and guidelines.You will possess demonstrated strong time management, high-level attention to detail, work prioritisation, and organisation skills with the demonstrated ability to work both independently and interdependently to ensure work tasks are delivered on time and to a high standard.You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare business correspondence, and a good understanding and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.As a requirement of this role, you will have a Certificate III or IV in Business Administration/Local Government or other relevant disciplines, or equivalent relevant experience.Our Culture & Employee BenefitsCouncil is committed to creating an inclusive, culturally diverse, healthy, skilled, and dedicated workplace culture.
