Our coal business is well positioned to supply the high-quality coal required to meet global steel production.About your potential new position:Glencore Coal Assets Australia has a firm belief that engineering design, asset management standards, and reliability have been fundamental in the success of the safe, highly productive operating sites. Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of asset management systems and personnel is an area with significant potential, and essential for meeting the business targets set by Glencore.As a resourceful individual with a focus on results, the primary purpose of this role is to implement systems and standards for maintenance, asset management, condition, and performance monitoring. Along with this, there is a strong focus on strategic maintenance initiatives to achieve target reliability and optimization of total asset costs.Based in Mackay, some of your key responsibilities will be:Provide advice and support across the business relevant to your professional area.Actively investigate enhancements to standards, procedures, and processes in your areas of expertise that achieve improvements in safety, reliability, performance, job satisfaction, and productivity.Maintain knowledge of best practice within your field of expertise, sharing interesting and useful information across the business.Develop the understanding of others to support and implement engineering improvements and maintain a practical knowledge of the work environment to which engineering support is provided.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external stakeholders.About you:You will have tertiary studies in an appropriate engineering discipline or extensive experience in the field of reliability engineering.Practical application of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and similar methodologies.You can proficiently analyze data through identifying what data is useful to collect (and what isn't), how to safely, cost-effectively, and efficiently collect it, and most importantly utilize the data consistently.You will be proficient with maintenance management systems (we utilize SAP).Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills with leadership experience highly regarded.You enjoy coaching and developing others and gain satisfaction through incremental improvements.What's in it for you?Direct employment with Glencore – we are a responsible miner of coal that has a track record of operational excellence.Support and guidance from a well-established and experienced team.Competitive remuneration package.Annual short-term incentive bonus.5 weeks Annual Leave per year.A tailored Personal Development Plan and access to Education Assistance.18 weeks Paid Parental Leave including superannuation contributions during periods of both paid and unpaid parental leave.Car leasing opportunities.Glencore Rewards Program (discounts at many popular stores including Woolworths).Applications Close: Sunday 12 January 2025Glencore provides unrivalled career and development prospects, great communities, and the opportunity to work with leaders in your field.
