Job Description Reporting to the company director, this pivotal role will spearhead property finance, financial reporting, compliance, audit, cashflow forecasting, tax, and analysis of group entities. Working closely with a cohesive team under the CEO's leadership, the responsibilities will encompass the management of accounting functions, both corporate and operational. This involves tasks ranging from annual budgeting and crafting cash flow forecasts to overseeing project budgets, conducting financial analyses, and ensuring cost control in property projects. Additionally, this role will take charge of the company's taxation affairs, actively seeking project finance opportunities, and maintaining compliance with Group Finance policies.
The position involves providing dynamic commercial support to the Group, enhancing operational performance through detailed analysis, reports, and advice. Essential tasks include conducting regular reviews of P&L results, addressing cash-flow issues, and continuously reviewing business processes. Coordinating, managing, and reporting the financial results of the Group, along with supervising and leading the existing accounting team, are crucial aspects of the role. This role will also play a key role in ensuring that cash flow adequately supports operations and in preparing, negotiating, monitoring, and reporting project budgets.
Additional responsibilities include handling balance sheet preparation and reconciliation, managing intercompany reconciliations and invoicing processes, ensuring compliance with entity tax requirements, liaising with senior banking representatives and external consultants, providing accurate and timely executive reports, preparing and maintaining financial feasibility analyses, and fulfilling any ad hoc financial reporting requirements.
The Successful Applicant We seek a degree holder in Accounting/Finance, preferably with a CA/CPA qualification, boasting a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Finance Manager with property developers. Experience in land subdivision is highly desirable, along with knowledge in property finance procedures and maintaining strong relationships with major banks. Strong financial modeling, analysis, and reporting skills are essential, alongside attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. For this pivotal role, the successful candidate will prove to be proactive and resourceful, driving for results and ability to work autonomously, commercial acumen and active involvement in the business, maintaining a visible and strong personal profile, willingness to drive management towards agreed and targeted outcomes, development of team capability, strategic planning, and thought leadership.
