Group Accountant

Mars are excited to bring this role to the Perth market, this Group Accountant role will cover financial reporting, month end, P&L, Quarterly reporting cycles, analysis plus the opportunity to take on more leadership tasks for the business long term.Someone within a background in financial accounting, audit or manager level from audit will be an advantage.With the head office in Kewdale and some outstanding WFH arrangements in place this will suit someone keen to be in the action with the flexibility to work from the home office on a regular basis.We will be conducting interview ASAP for successful applicants.Responsibilities:Preparing monthly P&L & financial reports to assist in performance analysis.Maintenance and reconciliation of the fixed asset register, including leased assets (AASB16)Support lead the payroll function and transactional team.Assist with preparation of year-end / half-year accounts and other statutory reporting obligationsEnsuring accounting standards and policies adhered to in line with ASX policy.Assist with annual audit process.Assist in process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.Opportunity to develop commercial skills and thinking through involvement in performance improvement, monthly P&L analysis and project work.Opportunity to take on Co-Sec work for the group.Experience:5-8 years of accounting and finance experience.Commercial exposure to financial accounting an advantage.Manager level experience within accounting firms with ASX clients also welcome!CA/CPA qualifications are a MUST HAVE.You must be a P.R.or Aus Citizen to apply.If you have been an audit senior / manager working across ASX listed clients with strong leadership responsibility this role may certainly appeal to you.Apply via the link and ensure your ASX listed experience and exposure are front and centre.
