About Your Role: This isn't your average accounting position.
As our Group Accountant, you'll be a key player in ensuring the financial health of Unita Group and our affiliated software business.
You'll work closely with the Financial Controller, but what makes this role exciting is the breadth of responsibility — from hands-on project accounting to compliance and month-end reporting.
You'll even manage an offshore team member, gaining valuable leadership experience while keeping everything running smoothly.
This is a role for someone who thrives on variety and loves the challenge of balancing detail with the bigger financial picture.
You'll get to dive deep into cashflow analysis, strategic budgeting, and compliance, making real contributions to the business at every level.
What Your Days Will Look Like: Own the monthly reconciliations and financial reporting across the group, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Ensure compliance with GST, Payroll Tax, and Worker's Compensation.
Assist in the financial success of projects — from invoicing to forecasting and financial reporting.
Lead our offshore team member to streamline processes and deliver results.
Collaborate with the Financial Controller on budgeting, cashflow reporting, and variance analysis.
What You Will Bring to the Role: We're looking for a forward-thinking accountant who has at least 3 years of experience in business services or a group accountant role.
You'll also: Hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent.
Be able to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, from site teams to executives.
Thrive on problem-solving and can see the big picture while nailing the details.
Have experience with Net Suite or a similar ERP.
Having experience with Power BI or the construction industry would be great — but not essential!
