INTRODUCTION We are excited to announce a unique and influential leadership opportunity at Mackay Airport as the Ground Services Manager. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the senior manager overseeing our Mackay operations, with responsibility for Ramp and Customer Services, catering to Airline Customers. YOUR ROLE As the Ground Services Manager, your primary objective will be to foster and nurture strong and proactive relationships with our valued Airline Customers, based on trust, respect, and exceeding their expectations. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing functional relationships with all other airport stakeholders. LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT You will lead a dynamic team of over 15 employees, making it imperative to possess strong leadership skills combined with exceptional emotional intelligence, integrity, self-awareness, and effective communication. You will lead the team to ensure the delivery of outstanding service standards for Oceania Ground Force within defined Safety and Compliance standards, financial, operational and employee relations objectives. OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES1. Safety and Compliance: Drive, enforce, and manage Safety and Compliance standards in accordance with Airline and Company Standard Operating Procedures.Innovatively address challenges while consistently ensuring Safety and Compliance, exceeding Airline Customer expectations.2. Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate cohesive relationships with the Airport Authority and Airline Customer stakeholders.Provide transparent and timely communication on daily operational performance of Ramp and Customer Service.3. Workforce Management:Oversee the recruitment process, proactively identifying opportunities for growth.Foster a Just Culture, promoting incident reporting and preventing threats to Safety and Compliance.4. Performance and Resource Management:Manage staff performance and provide objective feedback, guidance, and support.Effectively communicate Safety and Compliance updates through regular Toolbox meetings.Efficiently plan and schedule daily resources, minimising overtime.5. Audits and Reporting:Oversee regular Airline and Company audits, presenting feedback and results to key stakeholders.Prepare safety and incident/accident investigations, generating comprehensive reports.6.
