Located in the Goulburn Valley Region, Lancaster Farms is home to Premier Fresh Australia's 5-hectare retractable roof gourmet tomato greenhouse. The site is situated approximately 30 km west of Shepparton, Victoria, and 10 km east of Kyabram.
We are seeking a passionate and capable Greenhouse Supervisor to lead an enthusiastic and committed team with the potential for further career development within Growing.
Reporting to the Grower, your key responsibilities will include:
Recruit, induct and train greenhouse team, meeting all workforce planning requirements and labour productivity targets. Supervise, motivate and provide direction to employees and contract labour staff ensuring production requirements are met. Liaise with all labour providers to ensure that staff meet production requirements. Complete daily wage/labour reports and labour productivity reports. Oversee the coordination of all greenhouse activities to ensure all crop work is completed in line with SOP requirements & fruit is picked in line with quality specifications. Supervise and implement workplace health & safety, quality and biosecurity procedures. Assist grower to achieve maximum potential yield and targeted budget while maintaining required quality standards. Oversee the coordination of equipment maintenance schedules. Perform ad hoc administrative duties. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
3 years' experience in a similar role supervising staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). A high level of attention to detail. Hold a current Driver's licence. Hold a current Forklift licence – highly regarded but not essential. Competency with learning new systems and software.
