(Level B) $107,276 to $126,894 or (Level C) $130,810 to $150431 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies. Fixed-term, part-time position (0.5FTE) available for 12 months with the possibility of extension. Health Education Evaluation Specialist The Adelaide Rural Clinical School supports medical education, research, clinical practice, community engagement and the development of better prevention and public health policies in rural and remote areas. This research position is to lead and coordinate medical education evaluation projects and support other educational initiatives coordinated by the Adelaide Rural Clinical School. The successful candidate will also promote relationships with clinical academics, educational and Aboriginal staff at the Adelaide Medical School and other relevant stakeholders involved in health education.
As a specialist in health education research, you will work with a team of health educators, clinical academics, e-learning specialists, Aboriginal health educators, and professional staff responsible for delivering quality medical education in rural and remote South Australia. Working with that dynamic team, you will play an essential role in developing and/or improving health education initiatives, evaluating the impact of these activities on rural medical students' experience and writing the reports or publications arising from these activities.
Note: Ideally, the candidate should be living or working in a rural place in South Australia, with the flexibility to travel to rural areas where the Adelaide Rural Clinical School develops research activities
To be successful you will need: A PhD in health/medical education or a relevant field Demonstrated experience using qualitative approaches for evaluation projects and/or pedagogical activities in health/medical education evaluation, tertiary education or equivalent experience Experience working with Aboriginal staff, students and/or health professionals to close the gap in health and/or educational outcomes Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to codesign research and collaborate with stakeholders, including Aboriginal peoples, students, health professionals and educators.
