Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Cancer Metabolism working at South Australian Immunogenomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI).

Join Professor Lisa Butler's Prostate Cancer Research Group at the newly established South Australian Immunogenomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI).
We seek a talented postdoctoral researcher to lead innovative spatial profiling studies to define and target the molecular mechanisms of lipid metabolic reprogramming in prostate cancer.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in cancer metabolism while working within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will:
Drive independent research projects in cancer metabolism Collaborate with team members and our broader research network Mentor Honours and Postgraduate research students Contribute to grant writing and funding applications Participate in the group's research and teaching activities Working at SAiGENCI, you will have access to state-of-the-art facilities and collaborate with leading researchers in cancer biology, metabolism, mass spectrometry and computational systems biology.

To be successful you will need:
A Ph.D. in cancer metabolism, biochemistry or cell biology.
Clear record of driving success in their own research, demonstrated by a strong publication record that includes a focus on cancer metabolism.
Experience in molecular biology, cell culture, in vivo cancer models and metabolic assays.
Experience with prostate cancer research and preclinical models is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work in a collegial and productive manner within the team and with collaborators.
Effective communication skills, including experience in scientific writing for research articles and grant applications, and delivering presentations at scientific meetings.
In addition to the above, to be successful at Level B, you will also need:
Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, including leading projects.
Demonstrated ability to guide and oversee postgraduate and undergraduate students in the research area and supervise research-support staff.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across disciplines.
Demonstrated experience in the preparation of successful proposal submissions to external funding bodies.
