About the position
The General Practitioner, Medicare Mental Health Centre Wagga Wagga, will provide medical care for current Medicare Mental Health patients including:
Mental Health Assessment Medication Review Metabolic syndrome assessment and advice Referral to telehealth psychiatry and other specialist services Working within a multidisciplinary team environment to meet patient needs Medicare Mental Health Centre Wagga Wagga is a collaboration between Grand Pacific Health, Directions Health, Riverina Medical and Dental Aboriginal Corporation and Mission Australia.
We are offering a casual model without the overhead expenses.
We are looking for someone with:
Current registration as a General Practitioner with AHPRA Vocational registration Skills in the management of mental health and/or substance use problems in general practice Understanding of the role of other allied health professionals in the care of patients with chronic/complex conditions and in the prevention of mental health and substance use problems and chronic diseases Flexible work arrangements to find your best work life balance Educational opportunities for ongoing training and CPD hours Superannuation contributions and managed pay-as-you-go tax Increase your take home pay with salary packaging of up to $15,900 in living expenses and an additional benefit of up to $2,650 in meals and entertainment We make a positive difference to the lives of those we support!
