Your role You'll be a part of our Early Careers Graduate Recruitment Team based in Perth. You'll take responsibility for hiring our future talent - particularly our Clerks and Graduates. You will work in a collaborative environment to attract talent and help high-performing students through our recruitment process to start their careers with us.
As an Early Careers Consultant you will:
Engage your stakeholders (both internal and external) to attract, engage, select and onboard new talent to Allens. Act as a brand ambassador of Allens externally - including organising and presenting with confidence at external events e.g. Universities, Careers Fairs and hosting onsite events at Allens. Work with others across the Firm, including direct contact with Partners, senior lawyers and our events teams to organise engaging functions and programs for students. Design our market-leading engagement programs like Dive In, which provides an insight into the world of commercial law to high-performing students. Manage our social media presence, bringing creative and novel ideas to the team - we don't have too many barriers to new ideas and we are given the autonomy to run with them so innovative thinking is key. Design, project manage, organise and lead our Clerk and Graduate programs and recruitment campaigns. Identify and proactively manage emerging talent. Support and mentor an Early Careers Executive in the Melbourne office by setting objectives, providing coaching and addressing development needs. This is a permanent, full-time role and must be based in Perth.Hybrid working (60% in the office) is how we work however flexibility matters at Allens, so if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.
About you You will have:
Experience recruiting, ideally at a law firm, within professional services, or a similarly complex environment. Experience leading and designing Early Careers initiatives, and running an end to end clerkship recruitment program (events, screening, interviewing, calibration, offers). Strong collaboration skills, with demonstrated experience in working across multiple teams. A passion for creating positive career experiences, candidate management, brand ambassadorship, and engaging with a range of people. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work proactively with very senior stakeholders internally and at universities. An interest in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Problem solving skills and a willingness to take ownership. A desire and ability to grow as a recruitment and HR professional. A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others.
