As the Graduate Policy Analyst, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of effective regulation of the heavy vehicle industry through research and data analysis. Working with an industry-leading team, you will present findings that result in safer roads, increased productivity, and advancing decarbonisation in the community.
This 2-year opportunity will be suited to a recent graduate or soon to graduate (within 3 months of commencement).

A tertiary qualification in a related discipline e.g. economics, public policy.Ability to conceptualise problems, undertake research, interrogate data, extract meaningful insights, and present findings.A resilient attitude, capable of adapting to changing needs and willing to learn and quickly grasp new concepts to solve problems.Understanding of the need to convey technical information clearly and concisely, and tailor outputs of your work to different audiences.Experience working in a team environment with a proactive approach to communication and collaboration.Quantitative skills with experience in economic modelling, coding, or statistics would be highly regarded, but is not essential; we do provide training.Who we are The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) commenced operations in 2013 as the national entity responsible for regulating all heavy vehicles with a gross vehicle mass over 4.5 tonnes. We are headquartered in Brisbane and employ more than 1000 people across the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, and Victoria.
