VMCH is seeking a Graduate Physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team within the At-home Aged Care program.
This full-time ongoing position is perfect for a confident and positive graduate who wants to join an organisation that lives by its strong values to help strengthen our community.
As a VMCH Physiotherapist, you will provide allied health support to our clients within the Grampians Region of Victoria; you will be based in Ballarat and travel around the region as required.
You will adopt a goal-oriented approach to working with clients that focuses on wellness, reablement, and capacity building, which involves working with clients and their support networks to maximise their independence and quality of life.
More specifically, you will:
Provide high-quality and person-centred Physio services including assessment and development of comprehensive goal-oriented treatment and care plans, home assessment, equipment prescription, and report writing.
Complete thorough functional assessments including identification of appropriate accommodation settings or complex home modifications required for clients to live in a safe and supportive environment.
Demonstrate a range of intervention and therapy strategies to address needs that relate to activities of daily living, functional performance, fine motor skills, motor planning, sensory processing, perceptual motor handling, and positive behaviour support.
Provide therapy supports in the clients' chosen environment including their homes and/or specialist accommodation.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a recent Physiotherapist graduate who is looking to kick-start their career within the Allied Health space.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and/or Physiotherapy with current AHPRA registration.
Sound theoretical and demonstrated knowledge of a broad range of complex conditions that may impact people with a disability, the aged, and their carers.
Knowledge and skill in the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic plans and services for the elderly.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as working independently, including office-based or remote off-site location.
Evidence of 2022/2023 Flu Vaccination and COVID-19 Vaccination.
