The primary role of the Engineering function is to apply advanced skills and knowledge of the manufacturing engineering discipline to develop and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and documents, in order to meet the current and future production volume, quality, OHS, and cost requirements. Key deliverables include conducting prototyping and verification activities to determine the feasibility/suitability of a design. Assists in the development, execution, and testing of new and existing products.
Let's talk about Responsibilities The primary objective of Manufacturing Engineering specialization within the Engineering (MS) Job Family is to implement manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and documentation to meet production volumes.Key responsibilities include resolving technical issues and focusing on following OH&S guidelines.Represents Manufacturing while working closely with Product Development to ensure robust, manufacturable products.Introduces and maintains production procedures, provides training on new equipment, processes, and procedures.Completes process validation activities and documentation.Identifies and implements quality and efficiency measures including GMP, Six-Sigma, and LEAN improvement actions.Performs work in a specialized area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles, and concepts. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience.Responsibilities might include:
(1) Performing routine professional-based activities (early in career)
(2) Contributing to and managing projects (mid-career)
(3) Providing advice/direction in primary areas of expertise (specialist and expert)
