Angela Smith Interiors is a boutique interior design and decoration studio that takes pride in designing functional, beautiful and timeless interiors for both residential and bespoke commercial projects. We work closely with our clients to create well designed interiors that perfectly reflect both personality and style. We are seeking a graduate Interior Designer to work on a range of exciting projects out of our beautiful Toowoomba Studio on the Darling Downs, Queensland.
Toowoomba is located 1.5 hours from Brisbane in the picturesque Darling Downs, where we have access to Wellcamp Airport providing direct flights into Sydney and Melbourne. Toowoomba offers a wonderful work-life balance with a 5 to 10 minute commute to our centrally located studio.
What you'll be doing Collaborate with the design team to conceptualise and develop innovative interior design solutionsAssist in the planning, layout, and spatial planning of commercial and residential spacesSource and select appropriate materials, furniture, and accessories to bring design concepts to lifePrepare detailed design presentations, including sketches, 3D renderings, and mood boardsCoordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of design projectsStay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in the interior design industryWhat we're looking for A degree in Interior Design or a related field2+ years experienceCommercial/Residential ExperienceDemonstrable experience in applying the principles of interior design, space planning, and colour theoryProficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Adobe Creative SuiteStrong attention to detail and a keen eye for aestheticsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsA passion for creating functional and visually appealing spacesExcellent time management and ability to meet deadlinesStrong all-round designer with curiosity and enthusiasm to learnWhat we offer Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career advancementA supportive and collaborative work environmentWork-life balance initiativesAccess to the latest design tools and resourcesRole Full-time (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm)Immediate start OR late January 2025 startApplications Close: 5 December 2024 (or earlier if we have the right candidate)
