About the Role You will be responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality podiatry care to inpatients and outpatients across the service. You will coordinate the inter-disciplinary High Risk Foot Service ward round and lead a team to ensure high quality evidence-based patient care focusing on our inpatient cohort. You will play an integral role in promoting innovation and excellence in clinical practice while providing a welcoming and professional student placement program.
Duties include: Provide the highest standard of podiatry services to patients through effective assessment, treatment, evaluation, team liaison and discharge planningContribute to continuous improvement and service development within the departmentParticipate and lead regular in-service education for wards and other departments within St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM)Provide supervision and teaching to Podiatrists and undergraduate studentsYour Contribution Current Podiatry AHPRA RegistrationCurrent Victorian Drivers LicenseExtensive experience in the management of the high risk foot within a hospital setting is necessaryHighly developed communication and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamRelevant postgraduate qualifications and professional memberships will be highly regardedCurrent Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtainWhat we offer A focus on wellbeing initiatives, with regular events and programsConfidential, solutions-focused employee counsellingA healthy work/life balance encouraged. The Podiatry department provides podiatry and inter-disciplinary high risk foot services to patients across multiple sites in acute, sub-acute and residential care, including at St Vincent's Hospital Fitzroy, St George's Hospital Kew, St Vincent's on the Park, residential facilities and correctional health facilities.
