The Opportunity MinRes is seeking applications for an experienced GP Nurse (RN) to work in a in-house GP Clinic based in Osborne Park. The position is a full-time role or job share opportunity, working a Monday – Friday roster. The Registered Nurse will deliver quality care to employees, working closely with the General Practitioner. You will play an integral part that facilitates and promotes patient safety and quality of care, whilst demonstrating a positive commitment to Regulations, Acts and Policies relevant to nursing including the Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and Standards for Practice for Nurses.
Your primary responsibilities will include: Manage vaccination programs in conjunction with GPCompetently assess and triage low acuity walk-in patient presentationsDiscuss basic blood test results with patientsAssist GP with minor proceduresConduct general health checks and provide preventative health adviceManage patient recalls – preventative health and resultsEfficiently use Best Practice Software, PRODA and OnelinkManage and order stocked medications and inventoryOversee policies and procedures to ensure best standards of care are met.What is required? Registered Nurse with unrestricted AHPRA registration (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)Current BLS or ALS1 desirableExperience with GP nursingSkills in general health checks and preventative healthMust be able to work independentlyExtensive knowledge of clinical governance, safety and quality requirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPast exposure to GP accreditation process desirablePassionate about patient advocacy and evidence-based practiceAdditional experience in hospital/ED/urgent care nursing looked upon favourably.Comfortable being first responder in occasional emergency scenarios within the building.And then there's the extra benefits We look after our people because they're the ones looking after our business.
