About the opportunity: Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? The Office of Hydrogen Power SA (OHPSA) is looking for a skilled and driven Project Engineer to play a vital role in delivering South Australia's Hydrogen Jobs Plan and the Port Bonython Hydrogen Hub.
In this role, you'll oversee key engineering activities, including technical coordination, planning, procurement, quality control, and scheduling. You'll ensure projects are delivered smoothly and efficiently, with the potential to work on additional innovative initiatives as part of your scope.
OHPSA leads the South Australian Government's hydrogen industry development efforts. This is your chance to be at the forefront of groundbreaking, world-leading hydrogen projects and contribute to South Australia's transition to clean energy.

About us:
The Office of Hydrogen Power SA (OHPSA) is harnessing South Australia's abundant renewable energy resources to accelerate the growth of South Australia's hydrogen industry, establish a globally competitive export offer and continue our state's world leadership in the clean energy transition to safely and sustainably generate the energy and low carbon products of the future.
OHPSA is responsible for several South Australian government priorities including:
Delivery of the Hydrogen Jobs Plan, which will see the development of a world-leading hydrogen-fuelled power station, hydrogen production facility, and associated storage in the Upper Spencer Gulf. Working with industry partners to deliver the Port Bonython Hydrogen Export Hub project as South Australia's first large-scale export terminal for hydrogen. Hydrogen industry development activities to ensure South Australia is at the forefront of renewable hydrogen production. Growth of South Australia's hydrogen industry will help to unlock:
The growth of a new economic sector for South Australia. Thousands of new jobs for South Australians. Enhanced energy system security and reliability. Support for new and existing sustainable manufacturing industries. The development of a substantial pipeline of renewable energy projects in South Australia. OHPSA is an attached office to the Department for Energy and Mining.

Key Selection Criteria: Communication Skills: Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences and build relationships at all levels. Project Engineering Experience: Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role, with a track record of delivering results in complex environments. Autonomous Work and Prioritisation: Ability to work independently under general direction, effectively managing priorities and achieving desired outcomes. Confidentiality and Diplomacy: Ability to handle politically sensitive issues with tact and maintain confidentiality, demonstrating sound judgment and discretion. Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software, and knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and best practices. Qualifications: Relevant professional qualifications in Engineering, Chartered Engineer.
Remuneration:
PO4, $110,696- $120,470 per annum
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week.
Special Conditions: This is a contract term vacancy up to 2 years. Attractive remuneration package will be available commensurate with experience. Enquiries:
