About the Role: The Governance Support Officer will assist the Manager Office of the CEO with the preparation of Board and Committee meeting agendas, papers and minutes and provide assistance and support to Committee Chairs to ensure corporate governance responsibilities of the organisation are complied with and managed efficiently and effectively.
This is a Full-Time opportunity based in South Melbourne, VIC in MacKillop's head office and will report to the Manager Office of the CEO. Key result areas and responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the Office of the CEO. Provide administrative support to the Board Committee Chairs, including preparation of agendas, meeting papers and taking accurate Committee meeting minutes. Assist the Company Secretary with the maintenance of governance compliance registers. Liaise with Board and Committee members to facilitate a strong collaborative working environment. Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems which support the Board and Committees. Ensure absolute confidentiality regarding all matters dealt with by the Board, Committees, CEO and Executive Directors. Key Selection Criteria: Preferable experience in a similar governance role. Demonstrated high-level administration experience, including in minute taking and agenda preparation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact positively and work collaboratively with others. An ability to effectively prioritise and manage time effectively. Willingness to work after hours, when required to attend Committee meetings. Positive can-do attitude, assuming full responsibility for tasks undertaken. Flexible and adaptable.
