Council's Governance Branch is recruiting for the position of Governance Officer.
About the Opportunity As a Governance Officer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the Governance & Risk Unit, where your organisational skills and attention to detail will be highly valued. You'll be at the heart of critical decision-making processes, providing efficient and confidential support to the team and contributing to the overall success of the Department.

What you will bring Ideally, the successful applicant will have the following:

You will hold qualifications in business, office administration or similar, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in the ability to work with and interpret legislation.
Demonstrated high level of ability in the use and operation of PC Software Systems/ Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong background in providing administration support with a high level of attention to detail.
Experience in the use of an Electronic Document Management System (e.g. Content Manager) and Electronic Agenda Software.

Salary and Conditions The position is classified within Band 5 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $75,461 to $86,603 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
