Governance and Contracts Lead Salary: $106,534 to $128,897 (Plus Superannuation)Ongoing roleUsual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)Usual work location: 1 Spring Street Melbourne/remote (flexibility may be available)The Role The position reports to the Senior Manager Policy and Governance. The Governance and Contract Lead is responsible for supporting procurement and contracts management governance initiatives. Specifically, the role will be the Secretariat for the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) Procurement Committee and will lead continuous improvement of the contract governance framework across the department to increase contract compliance levels. The role is critical in supporting the Procurement Committee and contract management compliance improvement.
The Team The position of Governance and Contracts Lead forms a part of the Corporate Services Group and Finance, Investment and Procurement Branch. This Branch supports best practice resource allocation, budget and financial management and procurement across the department. It does this through the provision of strategic advice to the senior Executive and Ministers, development and implementation of frameworks, policies, systems and internal controls in accordance with the Financial Management Act 1994, other relevant legislation, accounting standards and Department of Treasury and Finance and Victorian Government Purchasing Board requirements.
