Mackay Regional Council is seeking a Director Infrastructure and Operations to be a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, shaping a modern Council. We're searching for an enthusiastic professional who is a strategic thinker and outcome driven, with the ability to inspire, lead and manage people.
About this opportunity: The Director, Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for the effective, safe and on-time planning, budget, delivery and maintenance for all of Council's infrastructure assets. The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is a critical member of the Executive Leadership Team. The role is charged with leading service delivery, asset management, infrastructure planning and capital works in Council's core operational areas.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering Current 'C' class QLD Driver's Licence Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven ability to communicate with external parties, including media and industry partners Experience at a senior level in the public or private sectors.
