Global Supply Manager, Logistics (Pacific) We're looking for a highly motivated logistics professional to support Logistics procurement for our Asia Pacific markets.This role is currently responsible for eight APAC markets but this number is continually expanding as Tesla continues to grow.This role can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.You will be responsible for running RFP's, vendor management, understanding and procuring services per operations and business requirements.You will be looking after all logistics activities related to finished goods (motors & energy) as well as spare parts and service logistics.The ideal candidate will have a track record of significant achievements, tremendous drive, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves.What to Expect We're looking for a highly motivated logistics professional to support Logistics procurement for our Asia Pacific markets.This role is currently responsible for eight APAC markets but this number is continually expanding as Tesla continues to grow.This role can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.You will be responsible for running RFP's, vendor management, understanding and procuring services per operations and business requirements.You will be looking after all logistics activities related to finished goods (motors & energy) as well as spare parts and service logistics.The ideal candidate will have a track record of significant achievements, tremendous drive, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves.What You'll Do Owner of RFI's, RFP's and RFQ's - ensuring all commercial terms are agreed and documentedEnsures NDA, SOW's and Master Purchase Agreement are positioned appropriately before business is initiatedDevelop strategies around the Finished Vehicle, Warehousing, Customs and Service Parts Logistics industries to drive price negotiations processes and ensure best in-class pricingKnowledge of vehicle transport, ground trucking market, 3PL's , Air, Ocean and LTL contractsResponsible for maintaining productive global transportation and ancillary service contractsDrive continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through strategic price negotiationsAddress all areas of Special Equipment management related to category business plans, global market and pricing analysis and procurement supportLead purchasing activities with internal stakeholders: Finance, Energy Distribution, Logistics Operations, Trade Teams and Engineering departments and develop bid specifications, negotiate contracts, and consolidate results in order to deliver sourcing recommendationsAnalyse current spend and evaluate current suppliersConsolidate spend across supply base to create leverage, analyse purchasing trends and develop sourcing alternatives.
