The PhD position is offered through an Australian Research Council Future Fellowship project focused on Humanitarian Emergencies & Forced Displacement.The PhD scholar will collect and analyze mixed method data from one of the case studies: Europe's hot spots and refugee 'crisis', Horn of Africa emergency, or Myanmar-Bangladesh Rohingya emergency.Research priority areas include trafficking, child/early marriages, exploitative/forced child labor, and sexual abuse.The PhD scholar will develop and execute a project aligning with the broader purpose of the ARC Project, aiming to enhance decision-making and program implementation regarding children and young people's protection in displacement contexts and humanitarian emergencies.This offers an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research alongside academics, practitioners, and community partners, with the chance to collaborate and learn from colleagues in the Department of International Relations.Location: The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia
Eligibility/Qualification: To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates must:
Be either a domestic or international candidate.Meet the PhD entry requirements for ANU, including submitting a 5,000-word PhD proposal.Be enrolling full-time and hold an honours degree (first class) or an equivalent standard master's degree with a substantial research component.Description: The selected PhD scholar will contribute to the ARC project by collecting and analyzing mixed-method data from one of the case studies focusing on Europe's hot spots and refugee 'crisis', Horn of Africa emergency, or Myanmar-Bangladesh Rohingya emergency.
