Health, Safety & Environment (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time Bradken is equipping the resource sector to sustainably advance society. Bradken is part of the Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) group, a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, headquartered in Japan with approximately 28,000 employees globally. Bradken utilises the synergies with HCM to build a stronger, more advanced business.
As the Global Manager - Sustainability, you'll be joining a leader in the design, manufacture and supply of wear products and services for mining equipment. You'll join a diverse and inclusive team contributing across more than 100 unique professions and trades.
About the roleReporting to the EGM Corporate Services, the Global Sustainability Manager will drive the sustainability strategy and will support the Carbon Neutral 2030 Project Team, foster a culture of environment management and track performance against long term goals.
This pivotal role will collaborate globally with HCM Group and will develop Bradken's sustainability framework, executing initiatives and promoting awareness across all levels and regions of operations. You will assess potential risks, plan mitigation, implement, and liaise with various stakeholders as necessary, ensuring you embed a responsible, sustainable culture through your leadership and influence.
You will be the business' senior specialist in this space, developing and influencing strategy, and ensuring execution through your small team, and networks across the business.
Who you areIt is envisaged that the successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of corporate sustainability practices and the Environment, Social and Governance requirements of business operations. Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with experience working across all organisational levels. You are a passionate Sustainability leader who engages with leaders across the business, influencing through engagement, lived experience and strategic capability.
Strong project management skills, the ability to prepare detailed reports and recommendations, influenced by cross-functional insights, will be key. Familiarity with emerging legislation and compliance requirements related to non-financial sustainability reporting is also critical, enabling proactive alignment with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Brisbane or Perth based, you will have global responsibility with the expectation of occasional travel.
