Rolleston Open Cut is a 16Mtpa thermal coal mine located in the southern Bowen Basin in Central Queensland. With a long life of mine and low operating costs, the mine has a bright outlook. Since 2005, we have grown to become one of the largest surface mines in Australia, whilst continuing to foster a culture underpinned by safety, achievement, flexibility and teamwork to improve the skills of each and every person on the mine site every day. Job Description About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Training Coordinator to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Health and Safety team and reporting directly to the Training Superintendent Health and Safety, you will be responsible for:
Developing strategic alignment with the future training and skill needs for the business, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Preparing and facilitating site training days, maintenance of the training database, on-boarding of new starters, oversight of the induction function, and coordination of new to industry training programs.
Coordination skills will be crucial to allow the mine statutory training/maintenance of competency is to the required industry standards.
Accurate record keeping, attention to detail and capacity to establish effective working relationships, will be crucial to your success.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a similar role and experience using training database systems.
Tertiary qualification in Training and Assessment.
Efficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.
Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
