The Department The Content Team at Autovista comprises Specifications, Valuations, and Repair. Each team is responsible for developing and maintaining the content databases required for delivering data, applications, and web services to our customers.
The Valuation Team is crucial in providing precise vehicle valuations and pricing, ensuring the data aligns with our strategic goals. The Valuation Team utilise SAE, Autovista's cutting-edge Statistical Analytical Engine, to deliver accurate, timely valuations that meet customer expectations.
The Role The Team Leader - Valuations (Australia) main purpose is leading a small team of Residual Value Analysts to produce current and future valuations and market insight for the car, commercial vehicle, motorcycle, caravan and marine industries in Australia.
Responsibilities Produce accurate and reliable used and forecast vehicle valuation data for subscribers. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our output.Track and ensure the accuracy of valuations as a key part of the team's performance, reporting valuation activities and status to the Regional Head of Valuations.Analyse and interpret observation data and market trends to respond proactively to changing market conditions.Assist the Regional Head of Valuation in implementing the strategy, framework, rules, and methodology for valuations. Support the implementation of systems and standards within the valuation department, in collaboration with the Central Valuation team. Proactively identify and implement improvements to internal valuation processes.Attend new vehicle product launches and industry events to stay informed on the latest developments and trends.Provide support to the Customer Experience (CX) team for valuation-related queries and complaints, as well as customer insights via Autovista 24 and Autovista Intelligence.Line-manage and develop the Valuation Team in Australia, ensuring the team's performance is aligned with overall business objectives.Ensure all Residual Value Analysts comply with company policies and maintain independence from OEMs and other stakeholders when setting guide values.Ensure all staff within the Valuation Team have job descriptions that accurately reflect their roles and align with business needs.Set clear goals and objectives for all team members, ensuring they understand their role and purpose. Support their learning, development, and well-being, while addressing any under-performance swiftly and effectively.The Candidate You have experience in leading a small team. You are self-confident, have a professional demeanour, are structured, and goal-oriented, and demonstrate an analytical approach to work. You are experienced in data handling; you are proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel) with a strong affinity for IT. The ability to work with large data sets using BI tools (preferably Tableau) would be an advantage.
Having knowledge of the Australian new and used vehicle markets and key market players is desirable. Ability to work independently, drive projects forward, and bring them to completion. Excellent command of the English language; additional languages are an asset. You have a willingness to travel.
