About the role We are seeking a GIS Specialist to provide spatial data management, professional GIS analysis and creation of new spatial content across the construction lifecycle.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work as part of a high-performing Digital team to support the delivery of major building and infrastructure projects for leading clients.
The role is based in Brisbane, QLD or Sydney, NSW.

Key responsibilities Develop and maintain spatial databases to store and manage construction-related data, including site plans, utility networks and aerial imagery.
Ensure that GIS practices comply with organizational standards, industry regulations, and data privacy requirements.
Create and utilize spatial data to assist construction activities, assess risk, and optimize project design.
Utilize GIS tools and techniques to analyze spatial data, identify patterns, and generate insights.
Produce high quality maps and visualizations to support design, planning, and construction activities.
Conduct training sessions for staff and stakeholders on GIS tools, techniques, and best practices.
Provide technical support to GIS users, including troubleshooting software issues.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate spatial data with other organizational systems and processes.
Maintain documentation of GIS processes, methodologies, and data sources to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
About you At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in GIS on major design and construction projects.
Degree qualified (GIS, IT, Computer Science or similar).
Demonstrated experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, FME applications and VertiGIS.
Demonstrated experience maintaining web and mobile GIS application content.
Ability to solve problems through application of analytical and critical thinking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
