Your new role
The Assets and GIS team is dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance our operational efficiency and deliver exceptional services to Council departments. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the GIS Supervisor and Administrator to develop and maintain the GIS systems, databases and translation scripts.
This role involves providing technical support, managing GIS data, and ensuring the seamless integration of GIS applications with other business systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for using GIS technology to solve complex problems.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
Extensive GIS experience and/or qualifications in a related field (Geography, Geospatial Sciences or Information Technology) with the ability to complete mapping and cartographic requests as required.
Significant experience in the administration and configuration of ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise/Online applications and associated mobile applications.
High proficiency in the use of FME or Python and/or the ability to create ESRI models to automate processes.
Significant experience administering and maintaining spatial SQL databases using ESRI software.
Skilled at troubleshooting GIS software problems, including the testing and identification of solutions\\workarounds.
High level understanding of infrastructure assets and their corresponding GIS datasets.
Organised individual with strong communication skills, highly customer focused with the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal stakeholders to achieve common goals.

Application Criteria
Extensive GIS experience and/or tertiary qualification in a related discipline, with demonstrated understanding of infrastructure assets and their corresponding GIS datasets.
Significant experience in the administration and configuration of ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise/Online applications and associated mobile applications.
Demonstrated experience administering and maintaining spatial SQL databases using ESRI software along with proficient use of FME or Python and/or the ability to create ESRI models to automate processes.
