About You The City of Ballarat Assets team is looking for an experienced and qualified individual to take up the role of GIS and Asset Data Officer.
Reporting to the Asset Systems Lead, this role will see you responsible for contributing to the management of the City's Geographic Information System (GIS) and providing support in the development and maintenance of Asset Management Information Systems with a focus on infrastructure.
Mandatory experience in the use and management of spatial systems and software including QGIS, ArcGIS and ESRI. Desirable experience in using Asset Management Information Systems such as Confirm.
The successful candidate will also need:
Experience with Asset Management, GIS, MS reports services software, SQL script writing and Windows-based computer applications.Relevant experience in data collection, management, analysis, and outcome reporting.An applicable tertiary qualification, degree or post graduate degree or extensive experience in computer science or geographical information systems, (or similar) with extensive practical experience.If you meet the above requirements, have experience working in a similar position and are passionate about working for the City of Ballarat, please apply.
