We have a great opportunity for a GIS Analyst to join our team in our friendly Townsville, Darwin or Mackay office (depending on location of applicant) for a 12-month fixed term contract. All 3 of these unique offices have a culture that is relaxed and laid back, but full of Technical Experts, particularly in the area of Mine Closure & Rehabilitation. You will work closely with the rest of our supportive GIS team located in Brisbane/Melbourne/Wollongong. You will also work collaboratively with our Townsville/Mackay and wider APAC based Environmental Consultants on our range of interesting and multi-discipline projects across the APAC region. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities
You will be a self-sufficient consultant who can work autonomously and be proactive in working with local teams and the wider APAC group. You will bring a positive energy and drive to do great work as well as be responsible for the following:
Data management Data manipulation and conversion Spatial analysis Preparation of maps and figures for reports Client liaison (internal and external) Skills and Experience Skills and experience
Ideally, you can demonstrate working at a proficient level within a consulting environment and have ambition to keep progressing your career by challenging yourself, as well as having:
Degree in Geographical Information Systems qualification or similar tertiary qualification Minimum of 3 years' experience A high level of experience with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ESRI Pro, QGIS and other GIS applications (Enterprise, AGOL and Field Maps) Attention to detail and willingness to produce high quality cartographic outputs Skills in writing scripts in python, ArcGIS Model Builder and programming (desired but not essential) Knowledge of computer aided drafting (CAD) software packages High level of written and verbal communication skills Diversity in project background experience that can be applied across a range of project types Australian working rights Benefits Our culture is unique where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
