We have a number of vacancies in our newly created gift shop for enthusiastic, customer-service orientated individuals.
The Gift Shop Assistant is directly responsible for the prompt, efficient, and five-star courteous service of patrons, collecting payments, and for assisting patrons with any enquiries they may have during their stay.
Other duties include maintaining gift shop inventory, stocking shelves and ensuring cleanliness of work and storage areas.
Additional duties and responsibilities may include:
Enthusiastically welcome all patrons as they enter the Gift ShopInitiate conversation by asking open-ended questions to determine patron needsAccurately answer routine questions/inquiries in a helpful and courteous mannerPresent merchandise with enthusiasm, and assist in the selection by making recommendations to guestsAnswer all questions regarding the merchandise and outline features and benefits with accuracyAccurately advise the customer on use and care of the merchandiseProcess sales as quickly and efficiently as possibleSupport front of house operations in all activities needed to provide a positive guest experienceUnderstand your role in patron safety and be prepared to assist in an emergencyAnticipate and meet the requirements of patrons with disabilities and/or accessibility issuesPerform other duties as requiredThe gift shop opening hours will be 9am to 5pm across 7 days of the week.
Shortlisted candidates must be able to work across a 7-day roster during these times.
Certifications required: RSA About you
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role in a retail or hospitality capacity.
Prior experience using POS systems is essential as you will be responsible for handling sale transactions whilst working autonomously in the gift shop environment.
