About the role The Safety Business Partner plays a crucial part in supporting the ARC business to cultivate a robust and engaged Health and Safety function.
The key focus is to lead the implementation of ARC's integrated safety business model, driving critical safety processes, building a proactive and interdependent safety culture, influencing key stakeholders, and championing continuous improvement across our Victorian & Tasmanian branch network.
This role offers the flexibility to be based at any of our Melbourne sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver work health and safety strategy in line with the ARC business model Coach and support our branch and operational leaders across our network of 16 branches Contribute to enhancing health and safety performance and address incident trends.
Lead incident investigations, identify hazards, and conduct risk assessments.
Assist line leaders in the effective implementation and communication of the GFG health and safety policy, standards, programs, and procedures.
Ensure that safety systems within the business unit comply with local legislation.
Conduct audits of business processes associated with inherently high-risk activities.
Support introducing new health and safety initiatives through delivering training sessions, predominantly face-to-face.
The ideal candidate should possess a background in manufacturing/operations with a solid understanding of WHS systems.
The ability to work independently, coupled with resilience in collaborating with key stakeholders to influence a positive culture and engage individuals with safety, is crucial.
Additionally, you will have:
Demonstrated background in WH&S in an operational environment Technical knowledge of WH&S business mode integration Strong communication and influencing skills Experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
An innovative and creative approach to safety with a proactive attitude.
Commitment to safety compliance.
