CSA Mine is currently searching for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. You will work in one of the world's most iconic mining districts, which has the second highest grade copper mine in the country.
About the Role: Use of SAP to manage the electrical maintenance of all surface assets, and track work order completionProvide geotechnical input into the mine design, production sequencing, stope design and capital infrastructure excavationsMaintain optimum development ground control standards including the implementation of sequencing guidelines to permit reliable production accessReview ground control performance with regard to design, operational practices and design assumptionsMaintain and optimise hazard management systemsMaintain effective communication with technical and operational staff as well as ground control contractorsAnalyse and interpret engineering data using appropriate classification and design toolsThe successful applicant will have: Current Australian Manual Drivers LicenceCurrent Australian Driver's Licence (minimum P2 or equivalent)Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering or GeologyMinimum 2 years' geotechnical experience in an underground metalliferous environmentExperience with mine software including DeswikConditions: This position is offered on a residential or drive in drive out (DIDO) or fly in fly out (FIFO) from Sydney or Brisbane. If residential is the preferred commute option relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be provided to the successful candidate to assist in relocating to Cobar. Candidates interested in the DIDO or FIFO will be provided with commute single accommodation and meals at the mine camp. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.
Location: Located an eight-hour drive to Sydney, nine-hour drive to Melbourne, and a quick three-hour drive to Dubbo, Cobar is a fascinating town rich in mining heritage and natural attractions.
