Full timeMenard Oceania is a design and construct specialist geotechnical contractor offering expertise in ground improvement and reinforcement for sites with poor soils. Its treatments eliminate the need for the deep foundations traditionally used to support surface structures. Our scope includes small to large infrastructure-based solutions across a broad range of market segments for private and public stakeholders, including Transport, Dams, Ports and Coastal Infrastructure, Industrial and Commercial Buildings, Heavy Industry and Mining.Due to the growth of our business and an expanded portfolio of projects, an exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Civils Engineer to join our team. This role will report to the Regional Manager – Southern Region based in Melbourne.Key responsibilities you will be required to undertake will include:Search tenders and opportunitiesReceive and digest engineering drawings and request for tenderPrepare detailed geotechnical cost estimations for tenders and other incoming project opportunitiesPrepare clear offer letters addressing both practical and technical solutionsShow commitment to learn and grow in this role with eventual aim to operate independent operationsInitially respond to construct only solutions, with the aim to grow in understanding and capability of Menard's solutions, hence being able to offer design and construct solutionsBuild relations with suppliers and clients to support cost estimation of projectsManage the Cost Estimations library, working towards simplification and effectivenessBuild up a solid understanding of geotechnical solutions in areas such as ground improvement, ground reinforcement, foundations and retaining wallsThe successful candidate will have to demonstrate the following:Degree qualified as a Geotechnical Engineer or Civil Engineer with a very keen interest in geo-technical engineering.6+ years' experience in civil/geotechnical engineering with preference of 2 years in Business DevelopmentCurrent network within South Australia will be preferredA demonstrated passion for working in the geotechnical engineering discipline with strong interest in ground improvement technologies.Demonstrate high level of attention to detail within estimations as well as report writing.The ability to work independently is an inherent requirement for this role.Benefits:Competitive Salary Package with company car and other travel benefitsEligibility to annual performance bonus, company share scheme, local and international career growth opportunities, employee wellbeing program.Supportive and growth focused company culture.With an emphasis on value added design and innovation, Menard Oceania can bring its extensive experience to projects in the planning and design development phase to provide optimal geotechnical solutions.
