We are looking for an experienced High Reach Driller to join our Mining – Geotechnical team at our KCGM (Kalgoorlie), WA operations. This will be ongoing, long-term project work.
Both full-time and casual positions available. Local to Kalgoorlie or FIFO from Perth. Roster is 7:7 (days) – day shift only.
The Role The High Reach Driller is responsible for executing drilling operations at elevated heights or depths, ensuring precise and efficient drilling to facilitate the installation of foundations, anchors, or geological exploration.
Key Responsibilities: Operate high reach drilling equipment to perform drilling operations at elevated heights or depths. Ensure accuracy in drilling according to project specifications and safety standards. Conduct pre-operational checks and maintenance of drilling equipment. Monitor drilling progress and adjust techniques as necessary to achieve optimal results. Collaborate with team members to coordinate drilling activities and ensure site safety. Maintain detailed records of drilling activities, including measurements and equipment usage. The successful applicant will have: Previous experience in Top Hammer Drilling. A working knowledge of Sandvik DPI1500 and Epiroc D65 equipment. First Aid and CPR Certification. Working at Heights Licence. Good communication and organisational skills. A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment. Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment. A mechanical aptitude. Elevated Work Platform Licence.
