An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced consultant to join our well-renowned Environmental Impact Assessment team based in Newcastle.
The team delivers environmental impact assessments, environmental management services, and approvals to multiple sectors across Australia.
We work alongside specialist technical teams in SLR to deliver a complete environmental service to clients across a range of sectors.
The successful applicant will have 3-10 years' experience in consulting, government, or industry working to deliver environmental impact assessments and approvals.
You will support the senior project managers to deliver large multidisciplinary projects in infrastructure, renewables, and mining.
You will be given the opportunity to manage your own projects and will receive ongoing mentoring from industry experts.

Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Environmental & Social Impact Assessment team, you will support the delivery of a range of infrastructure, renewables, and mining projects.
You will be responsible for the following:
Supporting the delivery of environmental impact assessments and approvals.
Being a key support person to large projects as well as taking responsibility for your own projects.
Delivering the best possible outcome for clients with a focus on quality.
Assisting with preparing fee proposals.
Preparing high-quality reports.
Preparing environmental approvals documentation.
Experience
Our ideal candidate possesses the following:
A professional qualification in environmental science or engineering or other relevant degree.
3-10 years' experience at a professional level, ideally in consulting.
Experience delivering environmental impact assessments and approvals.
Demonstrated knowledge of environmental approvals in Australia is an advantage.
Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables on competing timeframes.
A clear, concise, and professional writing style.
