Flexible working hours. About The Role: We are currently looking for General Practitioners (GPs) to join our team.
The General Practitioner (GP), Urgent Care oversees and provides culturally safe high-quality health care to Congress clients and others presenting to the Congress Urgent Care Clinic during the prescribed hours agreed with the Commonwealth Government.
The position works to the principles, values, and philosophy of Congress as an Aboriginal community-controlled health service with the aim of providing quality medical care to those who would otherwise need to attend the hospital emergency department.
Shifts: 12pm to 8pm Mon - Fri12pm-4pm Sat and SunThe GPs must have some emergency experience and be willing to undertake X-ray training if required.
GPs will work with a nurse as a team.
A nurse manager will be available during most shifts.
The position works within a multidisciplinary team including General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, and Medical Receptionists.
The position reports to the Medical Director and will collaborate with the Urgent Care Manager in the provision of services.
