A fantastic and rewarding opportunity is available for a General Practitioner to join our growing Super Clinic at Bendigo Primary Care Centre (BPCC) and/or the Bendigo Medicare Urgent Care Clinic. We are a Not-for-Profit Centre of Excellence that provides best practice and multi-professional primary care services to the population of Greater Bendigo.
Opportunity and Benefits: We welcome full-time and part-time fellows and GP registrars to join our team.BPCC operates as a private billing clinic, offering an attractive environment and competitive remuneration for GPs.We have a significant existing patient base, ensuring new GPs can rapidly build a patient book from within the clinic's patient pool.For GP registrars, we provide an onsite GP supervision framework with access to dedicated supervisors each day.GPs and GP registrars will have the opportunity to participate in our weekly Thursday Forum and Registrar Group Training sessions.Our Thursday Forum allows for upskilling in pharmacological, clinical, and local system knowledge with various specialists and referral pathways represented throughout the year.Support and Facilities: Join a clinic with a full support structure, including nursing and onsite allied health professionals.Our clinic shares a building with a range of visiting specialists and services, including neurosurgeons, neurologists, nurse practitioner for Diabetes Management and ECG services.BPCC is the home of Bendigo's Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, providing additional income opportunities for GPs to diversify their activity in an Urgent Care setting.Academic and Research Opportunities: BPCC is governed by major local health players, including Bendigo Health (Hospital), Bendigo Community Health Services, and Monash Rural Health School.Located on the Bendigo Health Campus and adjacent to Monash University and La Trobe University's Rural Health Schools, our clinic actively participates in research opportunities and offers various specialty services and clinics.Working Hours and Flexibility: Clinic hours are 8:15 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, offering flexibility for GP registrars to condense their working hours to accommodate study while meeting the in-clinic requirements of their program.Currently, there are no after-hours requirements for GPs, but participation in a Duty Doctor regime for patient oversight may be necessary.The Medicare Urgent Care Clinic hours are Friday to Tuesday 10.00am - 10.00pm and Wednesday & Thursday 10.00am - 6.00pm creating new opportunities for GPs interested in working alternative or extended hours.Advantages of Working at BPCC: Private billing practice with an attractive remuneration package.A modern and well-equipped clinic with ample nursing support, including Chronic Disease Management (CDM).Onsite access to a wide range of Allied health providers.Flexibility in working hours and days – part-time or full-time available.A collegiate environment with excellent teaching and learning opportunities, including weekly in-house professional development sessions.For further information about the position, please contact Callum Wright – General Manager, via email at ******
