What role will you play Our team at UniLodge South Bank are on the lookout for an experienced General Manager to join and lead the team to achieve excellence and deliver outstanding experiences for our student residents and visitors. Your ability to lead and motivate a team, implement strategic plans, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders will be vital to the success of our operation. Your leadership skills will help to support the growth and ongoing development of your team, and will empower them to champion fostering a safe, secure, and healthy living environment for all students. More specifically you will:
Ensure student wellbeing is prioritised at all times.Be thoroughly familiar with our Operating Agreements and manage the property as per the management agreement and all associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Establish and maintain constructive and productive working relationships with the client, head office, operations team, student residents, and other relevant stakeholders.Manage and optimise the financial return, and the overall financial performance of the property as outlined in the Financial Model/Budget.Maintain the property to the highest level of cleanliness and presentation as would be expected of a professional property management company.Pro-actively maintain the building's fit-out and the standard of its equipment.Provide overall leadership, guidance, and direction to develop a team of high performing staff.In the absence of the Regional General Manager act as their delegate.What we're looking forCurrent Real Estate Certificate of Registration through the Office of Fair-Trading QLD.Experience in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) sector is preferred, but not essential.Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act.Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team.Effective verbal and written communication skills with staff, owners, residents, and contractors.Available to commit to a Monday to Friday roster, 38 hours per week.Current First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willing to obtain.National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost.Working with Children Check (QLD), at own cost – note, no card no start legislation applies in QLD.Full work rights in Australia.What we can offer you:Amplify your potential; we offer a variety of opportunities for career progression.Personal and professional development, through online and face-to-face training and courses.Focus on employee wellbeing to support mental, emotional, financial, and physical health & wellbeing, including access to Employee Assistance Programs.Full uniform provided.Inclusive culture in a diverse, collaborative, and fun team environment.Various leave options including two weeks paid parental leave, study leave & much more.Strong focus on employee engagement – annual feedback surveys, and access to our community platform (Viva Engage).Performance recognition programs and rewards: 'On-The-Spot' Awards, Quarterly Awards, Annual Awards Night, Employee Milestone Rewards.Flu Vaccinations – Company Funded.Generous referral bonus (up to $1,000 AUD/NZD).Access to Insider Rates at Essence Hotels and Apartments.Are you ready to embark on a rewarding career?If you think this role is the right fit for you, we would love to hear from you.
