About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager for a dynamic, rapidly growing company (privately owned), head quartered in the beautiful Gold Coast. This is a newly created role, born out of significant growth and ambition to expand the operations. As the General Manager, you will be the driving force behind the mission to deliver exceptional services across multiple locations, ensuring excellence and innovation in everything they do.
You will oversee a team of 200+ dedicated employees across six (with additional centres planned for 2025) childcare centres and a small, dedicated head office team, working closely with the founders to implement strategic growth initiatives. This is an extraordinary opportunity to influence the direction of a company that values collaboration, innovation, and making a real difference in the community.
About You:
You are a visionary leader with a passion for making an impact and driving organisational success. With a proven track record in managing multi-site operations, you bring strong business acumen and strategic thinking, along with expertise in financial management, marketing, technology, risk, and compliance. Your ability to foster a positive, productive work environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders is second to none.
You will be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills within a business that has gone through substantial growth. You bring a deep understanding of operational excellence and the need to drive collaboration and accountability with diverse, geographically disparate stakeholder groups. You are commercially astute and have strong financial literacy with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Your experience in leading teams, managing complex projects, and achieving financial goals will be instrumental in propelling the organisation to new heights. You may come from the childcare sector, aged care, accommodation or similar sectors where other than the P&L, utilisation measures, customer satisfaction and staff engagement are good indicators of success.
